I intend to replace the RSB for less torso curl in the corners on the R. Betwixt SuproPro 24mm and H&R 25mm, is in that location a consensus on which one yields the improve performance? Is the 1mm noticeably unlike between the ii?

I've used the H&R on my MkV GTI years ago and liked information technology. The Teflon lined bushings offered by H&R didn't crave lubrication and prevents squeaks. I'chiliad leery about other brands using the grease method and worry it will dry out in a the future which will crusade squeaking.

If anyone has used either RSBs, can you tell me your impressions? Thx.

What's up with simply upgrading the RSB. I've always washed both on previous cars?

Yous won't notice a difference betwixt the 2 in exercise... I personally accept the SP just I would probably go with any was less expensive betwixt the 2. The SP bushings practise require grease but their material can't exist beat IMO. Is the H&R a solid bar? I know the SP is.

Thx @nik. The H&R is as well a solid bar but it has no "soft" setting, just holes for the stiffest setting. It'south main selling indicate is information technology'due south Teflon lined bushing which prevents squeaks and eliminates lubrication. I like the SP as well (it's significantly less expensive) but I'm only leery it might squeak over time as lube textile wearable down. Is everything going smooth and then far with yours?

If you intend to reduce ringlet y'all need to replace both sway bars. The rear bar has far less influence on body roll compared to the forepart one. Going for a complete set of sway confined volition noticeably reduce roll, I'd even say ringlet be virtually absent with them...

I as well had H&R sway on my previous GTI and never had any problems
with them. Comparing them to other makes in my own easily, I have
to say clearly, that H&R'southward built quality is second to none when information technology comes
to sway bars. H&R sways expect stellar, while some others look inexpensive.

Btw, that'due south the right place to ask questions on sway bars http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19381

I should rephrase my intent. I'd similar to induce some rotation to the tail and have less understeer coming out of corners. Nothing crazy just some mild rotation. I don't want to eliminate all body ringlet and make the get cart neutral; I recollect some trunk gyre is good. On my last 2016 WRX, I upgraded both FSB and RSB that it became too stiff. Swell for handling at limits but ultimately too tiring. Plus I felt like you lot tin can lose that "independent rear suspension" feel making it too stiff.

I concur with you regarding H&R'due south quality. Thanks again for the input and I'll read that thread for reference.

I read the other link which had some useful info.

My take on the opinions is:

1) Most people volition be pleased with simply the RSB.

2) Many consider just the RSB considering it'due south a hurting to install the FSB.

I'll put both on, thanks. I take a lift, so I don't retrieve it'southward quite so bad equally laying on your back to do. Still accept to decide which. I similar H&R's but I also like adjustable ones (though every adaptable one I accept used, I always set to full soft in front and full stiff in rear). I've never had a squeaking consequence (I wrap the bar with teflon tape, then grease).

The DCC dampers are peachy, then I'1000 non changing them. I too don't like lowering springs in full general and have found simply sway bars on an otherwise well sorted chassis makes for a great street car.

So given that I am changing both the FSB and RSB and I'thou not changing the springs or dampers, any opinions on which confined are all-time in that scenario?

... Likewise have good covers that were a b*tch to put on, nothing significant is getting in at that place.

Those boots were a RPITA.
After struggling with the beginning one I utilized a hemostat and that fabricated the residual a slice of cake to install. ;)
